Rachel + Andrew // Inn on Peaks Wedding // Peaks Island, Maine

Rachel and Andrew are quite the adventurous couple – I knew from the moment we met that it would be a fun ride. Starting with their engagement session, where the couple requested photos at both the coast and at her parent’s lake house an hour apart. We started at Two Lights State park, featuring the beautiful rocky coast before travelling inland to Sebago Lake for sunset portraits. The session provided a great opportunity to get to know them better leading up to their summer wedding on Peaks Island.

The day of the wedding, my colleague Peter and I boarded the ferry over to Peaks surrounded by picture perfect Maine summer weather. I always love going out to the Inn on Peaks, as it gives guests a unique perspective out on the water on their way to one of Maine’s best venues. Jayson and his team are on point with their attention to detail and it’s always a joy to work with them. Rachel and Andrew’s day was highlighted by so many amazing moments – the speeches were definitely some of the finest I’ve heard and the emotional parent dances were truly memorable. For me though, it’s all about the dance party – Bob Charest Band always brings out the best in wedding guests, and this night was no different. Lots of familiar faces on the dance floor, which is always nice to see.

Rachel and Andrew, the two of you were phenomenal to work with – Best wishes, a lifetime of love and laughter!

Lindsay + Kevin // A Samoset Resort Wedding // Rockport, Maine

From the moment I spoke to Kevin and Lindsey, I knew working with them would be a wonderful experience. Our first face to face meeting was actually in Boston for their fall engagement session. We visited the charming Acorn Street and their alma mater, Boston College, grabbing a few portraits along the way. They were so sweet together and easy to photograph – we chatted about how they met and how excited they were for their summer wedding in Maine. By the time their wedding rolled around, we had established a wonderful connection and strong level of trust.

We were greeted with quintessential Maine summer weather for their July nuptials. The sprawling property at the Samoset was in immaculate condition, offering endless photo backdrops for us to work with. Lindsay and Kevin had hired an elite group of Maine wedding vendors to work with. Kristina, with Purple Orchid was dialed in with wedding day details and logistics. I got to work side by side with Josh Swan (Media Northeast) who is not only an amazing videographer, but also one of the nicest guys to hang with. For their reception entertainment, they hired the band, Wavelength, who were simply phenomenal. When you have this kind of talent at one of Maine’s premier wedding venues, you are guaranteed to have a good time. The photos below help take me back to that truly memorable day in July. I hope Lindsay and Kevin can do the same 50 years down the road.

Lindsay and Kevin – wishing you the best on your journey together. You guys are the epitome of perfect wedding clients!

Diana + Joe // A Portland Club Wedding

I have known Diana for many years now, given that her sister is my wife’s best friend. She is incredibly funny, thoughtful, and not shy at all. Her impersonations have incited deep belly laughter on many occasions. When I met Joe, I knew that were destined for marriage as they are two peas in a pod – each with their unique sense of humor and selfless kindness.

Diana and Joe were married at the Church of Immaculate Conception followed by a reception at The Portland Club. The couple wanted photos on the Eastern Promenade which turned out to be quite the experience, with the interesting cast of characters we ran into along the way. Diana and Joe took everything in stride as they drew a crowd wherever we went. Back to the reception, the couple had invited someone very special to sing their first dance song, leaving many of their friends in awe. See, Diana and Joe met on a cruise back in college where this talented singer was performing every night. So, not only was it meaningful to Diana and Joe, but to the entire group of friends as well. The night was highlighted by a hysterical speech by Diana’s sister Amanda (complete with props from their childhood) and a Bruce Springsteen singalong/dance off between Joe and his father.

Diana and Joe – congratulations and best wishes to one of the sweetest couples I know!
