Amanda and Andy are awesome. I got to work with them during their engagement session this past spring and we immediately hit it off. I loved that they wanted something completely unique from their photos. From locations to concepts, they pushed me creatively and we came away with some of my favorite engagement photos that I’ve ever shot.

Fast forward to October of 2012 (yes I know this blog is WAAAYY overdue!). Amanda and Andy are getting married at Martindale Country Club and it’s an amazingly beautiful fall day, full of sunshine and colorful foliage. The day was filled with exciting moments including by a mother-son dance to PSY’s Gangnam Style.. hilarious! We had fun during the couple’s photo session too, as I had Andy fly through the air in order to get the perfect shot! The charismatic DJ Greg Young impressed the crowd as always - for this reception he brought out the glow sticks and the guests loved it. This was my final wedding of 2012 and it was definitely a fine way to end a fantastic season. Congratulations Amanda and Andy!

Looking back on this past year, I am very thankful and honored to work with so many wonderful couples on their wedding day. It was a year highlighted by so many amazing moments that I had the privilege to capture. Even though I have been photographing weddings since 2006, I am always excited for the next adventure that awaits. Each wedding is completely different from the next, presenting a new challenge for me to document in an artistic way.
This year was unique in that every venue was unique from the next. We travelled from Bethel, Maine to Westborough, Mass and everywhere in between. New locations are always exciting for me as they inspire me to think creatively, and act quickly. In the end, we came away with some truly memorable moments that I’d like to share with you below.

To my 2013 clients, I cannot wait to work with you! Looking forward to capturing all of the emotions, beauty, and celebration that this year has in store.

Fall is a wonderful time of year to get married in Maine. With cooler temps and colorful foliage, many couples choose to tie the knot in September and October. Chad and Erin celebrated with friends and family at their fall themed wedding in at the beautiful Sunday River resort. It was a day filled with lots of travel, but every stop was well worth it. Driving from Brunswick, it was a good two hours to the first stop, Ski Esta – a luxury rental home set on the side of a mountain, a perfect spot for the bridal party to celebrate the night before and get ready for the full day of wedding activities. Chad and his groomsmen posed for a few photos outside, that showed off his fun sense of humor. The next stop was Rumford for the joyful ceremony at the St. Athanasius-St. John Parish. Following the exchange of vows, we headed over to the covered bridge, a must-stop photo op if you’re in the area! We grabbed a few photos of the bridal party and adorable couple amidst the colorful leaves and weathered bridge. The final destination landed us at Sunday River’s Grand Summit Hotel, where friends and family patiently gathered awaiting the start of the reception. To kick off a truly memorable night, Chad performed a song he had written for his new bride – a touching moment indeed. Other highlights included a few heartfelt speeches, an emotional mother-son dance, a chocolate fountain, and plenty of dancing late into the night.
Congratulations newlyweds! I had a blast working with you at your beautiful fall wedding!
