When Emily and Bill hired me to shoot their wedding, I was elated! Not only did I have the chance to work with a wonderful couple, but they had chosen one of the most beautiful locations in all of New England. The Blair Hill Inn is a hidden gem in the North Woods, offering a truly awesome panorama of Moosehead Lake and the Western Mountains of Maine.
I arrived well before the ceremony to capture all of the excitement surrounding Emily and her enormous bridal party. Each room of the Inn had light pouring in from the windows which gave the photos a very natural feel. Photographers live for shooting conditions like this!
The ceremony was held on the hillside just outside the inn, overlooking Mooshead and the setting sun. After a few cocktails and formal shots, guests moved into the tented reception. A gourmet dinner, a few witty and emotional toasts, and plenty of dancing followed soon after. The highly entertaining Harley and friends rocked the crowd with classic rock anthems.
From the moment I stepped onto the Katahdin boat for the rehearsal dinner to the last dance at the reception, this was truly an amazing event. Congratulations Emily and Bill! All the best in your future together!
