Liz + Dustin | Portsmouth, New Hampshire Wedding

If you follow the blog, you might remember this adorable couple from earlier this year.  We all froze our a$$es off during a winter engagement shoot in Portland’s Old Port.  Well, the seasons have come and gone since then and the weather turned out to be picture perfect for Liz and Dustin’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire wedding.

The day started off at the Wentworth By The Sea, where the bridal party was getting pretty for the big day.  The enormous suite was immaculately clean which is ideal for the ‘getting ready’ photos.  We grabbed some detail shots, bridal portraits, and a few humorous snaps of the flower girl before heading outside for the group formals.  For such a large bridal party (11 on each side), the session went surprisingly smooth.  The guys headed over to the reception site early, while I did some more photos with the girls.  Eventually it was time for Liz and her ladies to hop in the stretch Hummer limo to be escorted to the wedding in style.

The couple chose a unique setting – One Harbor Place which overlooks Portsmouth Harbor.  The venue has a very modern feel – elegant tents surrounded by brick  buildings and large open spaces for guests to mingle.  Following a wonderful dinner, it was time for some dancing.  The couple chose wisely, as DJ Danny DeBruin from Northeast DJs was in charge of the music for the evening.  My favorite moments of the night may have to be seeing the groom break dance and the bride do “the worm”.  Definitely a rarity, but highly entertaining!!  The Photo Booth was a huge hit with this crowd as it’s been all season long.  I’ll be posting a few favorites in an upcoming blog post.

Best wishes Dustin and Liz – I am honored to have worked with you on your special day!
